Mere a thought of vast, crystal clear, azure blue sea; the diverse marine life; Moray Eels and Scuba Diving make you feel nostalgic about flying away to Mauritius. South Africa tour takes you to Mauritius, mini yet beautiful archipelago that entices you with its mesmerizing beauty evident in its pristine white beaches, coral reefs, most unique aquatic fauna, and tidy streets.

Mauritius is a coastal tourist destination and one of the most popular honeymoon destinations. Whether you want to have a memorable time together with your spouse or marry your beloved; Mauritius is just the right choice for you. Enjoy your Mauritius tour and roam around the island discovering the veiled romantic moments of your life.

Inhabited mostly by Hindu population, Mauritius gives an impression of Mini India. The place is thus a melting pot of diverse cultures, religions and life styles. You feel at home especially if you are an Asian or an Indian. The Hindu and Muslim festivals like Id-Ul-Fitr, Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi and Spring festivals are celebrated with great religious fervor. Mauritius is also a sports paradise if you are a golf buff or an adventure/water sport buff wandering in quest of satisfaction and thrill.

Port Louis

Mauritius tour would take you to Port Louis, which is backed by mountains at the northwestern end of the island. The burgeoning capital of Port Louis is a large city, though it contains a relatively small percentage of the country's total population. A good place to get a feel for city life is the Port Louis Market, near the water in the heart of downtown. While in the neighborhood, most visitors drop by the Natural History Museum to see a stuffed replica of that 'abnormal member of a group of pigeons', the dodo, which has been extinct since the late 17th century.

Curepipe

In Mauritius tour you can visit the town of Curepipe. With the flavor of an English market town, Curepipe is the center of the island's tea and model-ship building industries and the best place to scatter your money. The surrounding countryside has a more universal appeal. Curepipe's main street of historical interest is Elizabeth Ave. Curepipe is in the south-central highlands of Mauritius and is well linked by bus to Port Louis, about 20km to the north, and to other towns and villages.

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens

You can see these attractive gardens while on Mauritius tour .The gardens are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Mauritius, but the shady avenues of palms seem to swallow the numbers. One key attraction is the park's giant Victoria Regia water lilies, native to the Amazon. Other attractions include golden bamboo, chewing-gum trees; fish poison trees and a 200-year-old Buddha tree.

Belle Mare

In Mauritius tour visit the casuarina-fringed beach, Belle Mare that is best seen from atop a reconstructed limekiln that's been converted into a lookout tower just inland from the beach. On the far side of the road that parallels the beach stand the ruins of a sugar mill, and more substantial sugar mill ruins hide behind Belle Mare village. Aside from swimming, which is probably the best the island has to offer, about the only thing to do here is lying back and relax.

Black River Gorges National Park

In Mauritius tour you can visit the beautiful highland area southwest of Curepipe. About 6km from Curepipe, Mauritius' only mountain road reaches the dam wall of the park's large reservoir. Surrounded by casuarina and coniferous trees, it looks more like North America than an island in the Indian Ocean. Towards the eastern end of the plain, the Black River affords spectacular views of waterfalls and the 2720ft spike in the Black River is the highest point in Mauritius.
