The Star Alliance, launched on May 14, 1997 is the
largest and most awarded airline alliance in the world today, with 18
world-class member airlines.
The Star Alliance frequent flier program gives each member airline and their
frequent fliers, reciprocal benefits including convenient and seamless
transit and connections, round the clock support all over the world, and
other special airport facilities.
South African Airways is the latest member of this elite club, and the only
African airline to achieve this honour. This also means members of SAAs
Voyager program can now look forward to the advantages of some of the
largest and best airlines in the world.
